All the Technical Terminologies of yoga is interlinked and intermixed very well. All Kinds of Yogic practice is known as SADHANS, Upasanas is Literally Sit nearer while on the Sadhanas called Upa Aasana. Sit near means watch deeply while a seeker is in sadhana.
Without Upasana Sadhana cannot be performed, The Real Sadhaka needs more Upasana Power. While a seeker in sadhana the observation is more important than the sadhana, On the base of deep watch and observations, the seeker contemplate the sadhadha performed properly and he need to observe and developments and evaluations of sadhana takes him to next levels.
Whether it is Pranayama, disciplines to be adopted, meditation in various chakras as well objects or beings were all practices sadhana only. If a Knowledge is obtained, Based on the knowledge the seeker must start practice as per he learnt, and make the same practice again and again within a cycle of time in regular basis. Example a seeker just learn or read about a type of pranayama, or particular nadi meditation, He a lot a good time and make it sadhana (try himself) thrice in a day, and every day like a cycle. Here the cycle is very important. Sadhana is not a onetime practice or something. It has to come to a cycle in regular basis. Sadhana means uninterrupted continues lifelong practice, that cannot be stopped and there is no end.
Sadhana means practice the seeker performs any kind of sadhana, means practice, that can be physical and as well not only mental, some settler level practice were all there.
1) Just doing Aasana pranayama two were all physical gross level.
2) Some practices especially for mind and intellect were all settle level.
3) Meditations on chakras, nadis were all settler level.
4) Meditation on Cosmic level
5) Disciplines must me followed only Sadhanas more settler level
Sadhana is not just a simple practice doing again and again is may be practice; There you may not have perception about the practice done. But the word Sadhana represents that a seeker is having the perception of Cause as well as Effect, what is he practicing what are the effect of the meditation on chakras, nadis, Reactions etc. By the way Upasana needs to follow the sadhana the reactions and feel the vibrations on the physical and settle body.
Also the all the said sadhanas were all carried with the three terms names, Deivika, Bowdhika and Aathmiga levels. Deivika is cosmic level, Bowdika is Earth (World) level and Athmiga is the level on self. In these three levels of Sadhana the vibrations and reactions differs. All the seekers discipline Sadhana take him to higher level with the help of Upasana. The Sadhana is Cause and effect realized only by the Upasana, that’s why the Sadhana and Upasana cannot be separated. By paying more and more attention by watching the effects and reaction is needed. These Sadhanas slowly mix with the seekers life as well the Upasana, So the automatically the seeker became more conscious than others. The Result of Day to day duties will get more clear and expertise. They start live in their life with a different and other evolution.
Whatever the learning he hears or studied must be make into practical practices must do periodically in their regular worldly life with observations and watch the practices too. Sadhanas make the seeker easily understand the life, and its miseries, Take view from the heights. Everything the practitioner sees differently with a patience and silent. But he can judge and finalize the hardest task in a simple manner. Life of Fanfares slowly getting settled, No rushing, No screaming, No fear, No hesitation, No shimmering. Whatever the Sadhaka do will be very clear, neat and tidy. Slowly getting the Viveka leads these sorts of attitudes.
Common man becomes a seeker and get away from the totally confused life of a riddle is not a simple thing. So it requires a great, huge and vast quantity of Vyragya as well of Sadhanas, in varies types and manners with an uninterrupted abyaas. There is no difference between sadhana and abyaas. It depends upon the sadhana the seeker choose.
People usually ask, when the right time for Sranayoga and where is the Right place for to sit in the Yoga. Answer is very simple NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME AND HERE IS THE RIGHT PLACE. If the seeker is ready to be in Sadhana, No such good time and place.
